A double exposure photograph of a young woman with red hair, looking to the side with her hand resting on her face, overlaid with pink bougainvillea flowers and a blue sky.

Portrait

Portraits are moments of presence. Rather than likeness, I look for the subtle dialogue between the subject and the surrounding space — a glance, a pause, a fleeting emotion. Each portrait is an encounter shaped by light and trust.

That’s how the light gets in

I photograph people in relation to place - architecture, landscape, and everyday environments.
A young woman stands outdoors among white flowers, wearing a gray beanie, black jacket, and blue jeans. She looks upward with her hands behind her head, against a background of trees and a partly cloudy sky.
A young woman with long, curly, light brown hair and fair skin standing outdoors amidst pink blooming flowers and greenery.

Seasons

Early fall shoot in Sapporo. I’m open to simple, relaxed, customised sessions (no heavy posing), focused on atmosphere and one’s relationship to place rather than “photoshoot” aesthetics in Sapporo and other places in Japan.
